WTF!RPG

During the long long hiatus of WTF moments (which Mawf’s game gladly broke) there had been indeed real close calls in reaching the brand of WTFS.  But didn’t quite reach it.  These are a few lists of those little almost WTFs that at least, deserve to be named…

1. Mawf’s One shot game called: L5R in SPACE… which had a ratling janitor as one of the protagonists, and Onis that turn into mechas.  It almost was WTF, if it didn’t make so much sense.  Logic unfortunately derided it from the WTF Hall of Fame.  Also, the serious cinematic battles made up for the silly concept, and upped this from the Awesome WTFs, into the Crazy GAR category.  Not bad for a half-cooked one-shot idea.  Note: A clear example of the GAR-ness is when the 5 Space Samurai decided to fight the alien starship O.N.I. KYOSO with just a wrecked hovercraft.

2. Wowz undercover cop character, inspired by THE DEPARTED. First session in the nmage game, and he managed to piss off the MOB, alienate his allies in the FORCE, call his wife a LIABILITY, and make him an INSTANT MARKED TARGET – all in day one.  That’s gotta be a record.  Not too WTF though…

3. Blake’s character in Nmage, a paranoid defense attorney GUILE CHAMBERS who booby-trapped his own home against invaders – and later got someone’s face blown off when the poor schmuck “stepped on the grass.”  Note: This is not so WTF because the GM Pointy skillfully deconstructs it, and turns it into a Legal case against the character.  The logic and emotion drained it of WTF, which was an upside for pointy, and a downside for this blog.

4. My Exalted Character, ZIEG, a Solar Hero Style Martial Artist thats technically a halfbreed of Indiana Jones meets Kamina of Gurren Lagann.  Optimized to high hell that the guy managed to push through a veritable first age starcruiser (or the equivalent of one) pumping it with 100+ dice of piercing damage, drilling through its shields, its armor, and cutting past all the way to the back – and shouting “GIGA DRILL” all the way.  The guy also has a romantic affair with his mecha (which is something you shouldnt think too much about.)  Note: As its just a “WTF 100+ damage?” and a simple homage to Gurren Lagann – it doesnt seem too WTF enough for a panda mark.  Plus, I’m sure other people has reached far higher damage than that in their games already.

5. Last but not the least, Blake’s minmaxed NWOD Hunter character (for sheimaruen’s popular Hunter game), PEDRO, who has tons of Health levels, found himself facing a Mage in a  dark pitch-black room. And since mages in nwod are IMBA, he only found one way to fight it and live.  Taking a grenade in his belt, saying F.U. – he just drops it in his feet and smiles.  The whole room BLOWS UP.  INCINERATING EVERYTHING INSIDE.  KILLING THE MAGE. And through sheer mechanical uppiness, he SURVIVES IT ALL with his maximized health levels with little damage, walks away with little more than SINGED BOOTS. Note:  This is a debateable WTF, since some people say its a WTF moment, while some agree that its a veritable BADASS moment.  I tend to agree with the latter. That took some balls, and was simply GAR.

Mr. Nonsense final say: We here in WTF!RPG respects pandas.  We know they are important animals!  We hear they are so important that theyre not even allowed as PETS in G******RS because of the violence involved.  So, out of sheer respect, we provide an alternative brand to these almost WTFs…

Because no one respects monkeys anymore… *sad*
